Certified Massage Therapist
David has been involved in athletics most of his life. From his early childhood in the mid-west, he was involved in wrestling and football. He was a captain of the wrestling team in high school and went on to play football at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where he majored in biomechanical engineering and participated in the fencing club where he earned his "E" ranking in Saber. A severe neck injury ended his playing career and caused David to rethink the direction his life was taking. He left school to pursue a culinary career.
While learning his craft, he was an assistant wrestling coach for both a high school and junior high school program. He even helped to set up a youth training program. Eventually, his career (and wife) brought him out to California. In order to spend time with his wife, Dave left his kitchen days behind him and began to work as a sales consultant that provided products to the restaurants and hotels he knew so well. He also began to train in Brazilian jiu jitsu under Mikyo Riggs. Old injuries and nagging pains kept coming back until David began to regularly see a chiropractor, Peter Goldman. Dave's healing journey motivated him to attend the National Holistic Institute and earn his license in massage therapy. He hopes to be able to help others continue on their path, doing activities that they love to do.
David is continuing his education by attending a neuromuscular program focusing on clinical assessment and trigger points sponsored by the National Holistic Institute. After graduating from that program, David will be working on his A.R.T. certification as well as continuing to work on his jiu jitsu and competition training program.
